Justin Frehs is a watercolor artist, specializes in photo realistic portraits. His work is modern, with hints of expressionism, impressionism, abstract and even fine art.
He uses real models and also photographs. Inspiration comes from life, music, art, love, pain, isolation and mostly, people.
Justin creates his own palettes and breaks most traditional rules of watercolor painting. Tends to change style every few months to stay current and to challenge himself.

His work has been sold to collectors all over United States and also Canada, Germany, Australia and Japan.
Justin is a self-taught artist and have been painting since he was six years old. Participated in many contests and art shows and won scholarships to Columbus College of Art and Design, Pratt institute and The Ohio State University.
Justin took a break from art for many years and recent move back to Columbus, Ohio, restarted his art career with several successful art shows, including Solo Show in Short North, pop-up show at Wild Goose Creative, German Village Garten Markt, Secret Cabinet Art show at Vanderelli Room, Independents Day Festival at Columbus Idea Foundry and many more.
Justin also taught watercolor painting classes at Central Ohio Watercolor Society and Picasso's Studio.
